Paleontology Technician holds a tail bone of a titanosaurid, NZ.

GNS Science Paleontology Technician Marianna Terezow holds a tail bone of a titanosaurid. The fossil, found in northern Hawke's Bay, belonged to a giant plant-eating sauropod that roamed New Zealand 80 million years ago. It is the first evidence that titanosaurids once lived in New Zealand.
