The sky-blue mushroom (Entoloma hochstetteri) features on the NZ$50 banknote (2016 design) with the Tūhoe story of the werewere-kōkako and kōkako in Pureora Forest. It was also part of the New Zealand 2004 set of six fungal stamps.
