Corkscrewing
Corkscrewing describes a particular motion of waka on the ocean surface. If a waka is heading S, a SE swell would hit the waka on the port side at an angle of 45°, causing it to corkscrew (lift in sequence – port bow, starboard bow, port stern and starboard stern).
