In this activity, students make small finger puppets and take on the roles of insects, birds and the wind to simulate various methods of pollination.

Simple finger puppets take on the roles of insects and birds to simulate different methods of pollination.

By the end of this activity, students should be able to:

  • recognise a few of the characteristics of flowers pollinated by wind, insects or birds

  • identify one of the rewards that a pollinator might receive

  • identify one plant that uses wind as a pollinator.
