Pollination role-plays
In this activity, students make small finger puppets and take on the roles of insects, birds and the wind to simulate various methods of pollination.
Finger puppet pollinators
Simple finger puppets take on the roles of insects and birds to simulate different methods of pollination.
By the end of this activity, students should be able to:
recognise a few of the characteristics of flowers pollinated by wind, insects or birds
identify one of the rewards that a pollinator might receive
identify one plant that uses wind as a pollinator.

Nature of science
Scientists create and use models to help us understand concepts or gain a better understanding of how something works. In this activity, students use finger puppets to model different methods of pollination.
