Exploring science in the early years
In this recorded online workshop, we share kaiako Cathy Upton’s reflections of how she has grown and celebrated science at Country Kids Kindergarten. Hear how she has overcome challenges and discovered the benefits of having a strong science presence at her centre. Participant voice is also included so you can hear ideas from teachers across Aotearoa.
This session links to all of the strands of Te Whāriki as well as to the Science Learning area and key competencies of the New Zealand curriculum.
This session is valuable for both early childhood and primary school teachers.
