Carcass of an albatross that has ingested plastics

Impacts of plastic in the ocean

Remains of an albatross that has died from ingesting ocean-borne plastic, mistaking it for food. The skin and flesh have rotted away showing its stomach contents, including a cigarette lighter and several bottle tops. This threat to toroa can be reduced by proper recycling.
